The Mother You Wish You Had

We get caught up in our stories in our mind. One of the most destructive emotionally has to do with blaming our mother, or parents, for how we were raised or treated. In this video I break out the layers of beliefs/stories we get trapped in and explain why they are not true, or worth believing in. As it turns out, blaming someone like our mother isn’t just one story, but one of several that weave together to make the painful illusion appear as real.

Self Awareness vs. Self Judgment

What some people construe as Awareness is often times the ego and intellect creating a story. Perhaps even a story of self rejection and self judgment. That kind of awareness won’t help you be happy, but real self-awareness will.

Self Awareness is more than just being able to label what is going on in your mind.  This can sometimes be chalked up to being smart. Self awareness, as it grows, allows for greater shifts internally in perspective, your relationship to your emotions, and the ability to be skeptical of thoughts as they arise.
