Ellen Roseland
A bit by Ellen Roseland that attempts to explain some of the modalities she incorporates in personal transformation. Her short description here only points to the wisdom gained in 24 years of experience studying and teaching processes for healing the mind and body.
In working with people, I like to use a melting pot of tools that I have acquired over the past 24 years of my studies and private practice. My exploration and learning include different traditions of energetic work, meditation, shamanic studies, and body work.
One type of body and energetic work I use is cranial sacral which unwinds the deeper nervous system. Releasing the deeper nervous system through the spine and the brain allows a fuller flow of energy throughout the entire body.
I have taught Jin Shin Do acupressure for 23 years. Jin Shin Do utilizes some of the most powerful acupressure points in the body to relieve stress. The release of these points promotes a smooth flow of balanced energy in the body, facilitates a deeper relaxation, and expansive awareness of life. Other modalities such as working with the feet through reflexology or using massage are helpful for grounding ones energy. They bring a person back in touch with themselves and feeling comfortable in their skin.
From studying many different types of meditation I teach simple ways to use the breath to relax the mind. Relaxing the mind is necessary for allowing a deeper presence in the now. Sat Nam Rasayan is a meditative body work that allows for direct perception through intuitive feeling rather than objective thinking.
By the practitioner holding a neutral space of compassion and unconditional acceptance, obsessions that arise in the patterns of the client’s energy field can be felt. The disruptive patterns are then equalized in intensity, restoring balance and calm awareness. This heals dis-ease.
Study in different Shamanic traditions and work with Don Miguel Ruiz has allowed me to see the nature of life as an active process and to help people shift their perceptions in viewing their world experiences. When we recognize the limitations of viewpoints we break the spell of the world and move into a larger experience of love, compassion and acceptance. Time and energy previously spent in power struggles of the mind between "right or wrong"," or "good or bad" can be reinvested in what we choose to create. With this new resource of personal energy it is easier to create what you want in your life. By focusing this extraordinary supply of energy you create your life as a beautiful work of art made from love.
In 1987 I began to study Process Oriented Psychology (POP) brought to the US by Arnold Mindell. This modality of opening consciousness combines laws of quantum physics, and encompasses Carl Jung's work of bringing together what is conscious with the unconscious in a person's world. It is done in a basically Using a Taoist approach of respecting the yin and yang (feminine and masculine) we see that there is a right time and place for everything. We have only to discover what the true motivation, message, and power is behind our major human patterns. We can then bring it out more consciously and directly.
When our world view enlarges and we are more at ease in the world and better able to understand and create consciously. This leads to Personal Freedom. Personal freedom is the freedom to shift our awareness in order to feel empowered and alive in any moment and circumstance in life.
